Who We Are

Donate at Crowdrise

For 2012, the American Odyssey Relay Run Adventure is reaching out to the entire community in an effort to raise awareness and money for charity. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our runners, volunteers and supporters get involved and help make a difference.

The American Odyssey Relay is partnered with Crowdrise to encourage the entire community to unite and fundraise for their favorite charities in 2012. Just imagine the impact the entire community can have when harnessed to give back in a fun and compelling way!

We are proud to be partnering with Hope Connections for Cancer, formerly The Wellness Community-DC. Hope Connections for Cancer Support is the Maryland/DC location of The Wellness Community. TWC's mission as stated on its website is:

"To help people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer through participation in professionally facilitated programs of emotional support, education, wellness and hope."

All Hope Connections for Cancer programs are free of charge to the public.

A portion of the proceeds from the American Odyssey Relay Run Adventure will be donated to Hope Connections for Cancer to enable it to continue providing these much needed services.

The American Odyssey Relay is proud to have added Hope For The Warriors® as a charitable partner beginning in 2010. We will donate a portion of the proceeds in 2011 to Hope For The Warriors®.

The mission of Hope For The Warriors® is to enhance quality of life for U.S. service members and their families nationwide who have been adversely affected by injuries or death in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® actively seeks to ensure that the sacrifices of wounded and fallen warriors and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet.

Team Hope For The Warriors™ unites the wounded community with athletes and their supporters in the combined goal of competing at endurance events worldwide. For the wounded, the Team engages the competitive spirit so that these warriors are once again defined by their achievements rather than by their injuries. For able-bodied athletes, the Team provides an opportunity to take personal goals to the next level by fundraising in honor of America's heroes. As the Team grows, it is our wish that all of our athletes will be motivated by a community's pledge that no sacrifice will be forgotten, nor need unmet.

The American Odyssey Relay is proud to have added Team Red, White & Blue as a charitable partner beginning in 2011. We will donate a portion of the proceeds in 2012 to Team Red, White & Blue.

Team Red, White & Blue's (Team RWB) vision is to transform the way wounded veterans are reintegrated into society when they return from combat and exit their position in the Active Duty force or National Guard.

While much has improved since the post-Vietnam era, some polarization between veterans and our society still exists today. Strong relationships between wounded veterans and their fellow Americans are critical to veterans' reintegration into civilian life as well as our nation's success. That's why Team RWB's mission is to enrich the lives of wounded veterans and their families.
