This is only my second relay (1st Odyssey event) so I am a relative newcomer.  I loved every minute of it! I though it was very organized, very scenic and overall very well run.  Thanks to all who were involved in organizing this fantastic event.

I ran legs 11, 23 and 35.  The legs were challenging, but not too bad.  Leg 11 started through town.  Everytime I had to cross a major intersection a police officer or race official stopped traffic and allowed my safe crossing.  Although it was a scenic run, I was quite sick of looking at the tower on top of the mountain starring down at me.  And the last 1.7 mile straightaway seemed a little longer than that to me.  Leg 23 was awesome!  Antietam at 3am, does it get any better?  Short, steep, rolling hills and a lot of motivation to run fast.  My only suggestion would be to have the night leg signs lit up better (with reflective tap since most runners have head lamps.)    Leg 35, seemed like it would take forever to start since it was the 2nd to last leg of the event.  The canal was busy with locals and the cobble surface made for a tough run, but it was a nice 7 mile stretch.

Who was the "pink shorts" boys?  And like the last relay we ran in, we got "nutted"...compliments of Mixed Nuts.  Thanks to all who were involved in this event!!
