Our family had a blast working the transition. The kids hung in there for a long time except for Nina, the 6 yr old. She was asleep on the straw bales we had out before the first runner came in. We had one team show up early to wait on their runner and one runner slept on the bales with her. It took a minute to decide who was snoring - the runner or Nina. It was Nina!

Bob, Kelly: I had a GREAT time working on the AOR this year and really enjoyed my overnight at Burnside Bridge. The time just flew by and watching the sky lighten and then dawn light the Creek and the Bridge is a treat.

Kelly - this year was more enjoyable than last! I am ON BOARD again for next year - the folks you matched me with at #26 were wonderful. Nice job as always!
Christine J., Transition #26
Thanks, Kelly! We had a great time, and I'm wondering why I don't wear my fluffy polka-dotted bathrobe out in public more often!
Andrea G., Transition #34
Hope you are resting on your laurels as well as your calluses. From what I saw, it was a great event!
Amy W., Transition #11
Thank you for all your hard work. I hope you are taking some time off - you deserve it! I also want to let you know that Andrea and I had such a fun time at stop 34! Really - thank you!!!

Hey Kelly, What an amazing job you and Bob did putting this whole race together. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but this is the first race I have ever volunteered for. I selfishly am always running it, but this gives me an even bigger appreciation for race volunteers for long races and short races.

We were the annoying Clowns that were walking among cars at the the stoplight at Wilson Ln. and MacArthur Blvd asking for donations and raised $212.07 for The Wellness Community in a couple hours. We got lost after the walk down that hill!!! And then got picked up by the Park police...hmmm...they'll talk about that at the station for a long time. Dispatch said there were 2 clowns that were lost...too funny!!! We'll post pics.
See you next year Thanks, Pat K. & Carol P.
My friend Cat and I had a great time volunteering!! We will most definitely do it next year if you need us!!
